About the Author of Unshackled Harold Morris. The Unshackled Book was written by Author Harold Morris who began writing in 1984 when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He wanted to use his last few months to share the story of his life: falsely convicted of armed robbery and murder at age 29, he spent the next nine years behind bars, struggling to survive in what was widely recognized as the worst prison in the United States - Georgia State Penitentiary. Unshackled is an excellent book showing what God can do. I have read and reread the Unshackled book by Harold Morris and other character education books by Harold Morris detail a wonderful story of how life as a Christian is great as well as difficult sometimes. I am very grateful for the book Unshackled by author Harold Morris that I find as such an inspirational book.
